Led by Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist, Dee Kerai, this 90-minute session is about discovering our own privileges, how we can support others using them, and how it skews perceptions. We will also explore why it is difficult to measure socioeconomic diversity but why it shouldn’t stop us taking action when creating pathways into the industry.
Meet Dee: Dee has a wide range of industry experience of forging EDI best practice and creating authentic editorial storytelling, having worked in production and in EDI-focused roles within UKTV, BBCS, Sky and Warner Bros and the London Film School. They also supported gaming companies like Rocksteady, A44, Shapefarm, and Kepler Interactive.
Their direct approach has developed and been integral to changing industry attitudes, culture, and practice. Working with individuals and teams to navigate the changes that will ensure a representative culture and psychologically safe environment; They specialise in making the uncomfortable comfortable.
